HOME AGAIN...HOME AGAIN...

September 16 ~ Sunday ~ sunny to cloudy and a little smokey...
From the fires in central Idaho, making for a somewhat red sunrise and a reddish glow on the mountains...just beautiful! Didn't sleep much during the night, but was up before 6am to make the 7am Wave opening to do water aerobics for 1 1/4 hours with a couple friends that I've really missed, then the hot tub before grocery shopping and worship service at 9:30am, seeing my Christian family again after 3 months...always a warm welcome with hugs. Still, we'll be gone again this next weekend to see family 5 hours away...haven't seen them in over three months, BUT our youngest granddaughter will be starting Sunday School on the 23rd so will be worshipping with them.
This afternoon I started bringing things in from the camper...still have a lot to do, but had to also go thru three months of magazines and some mail...and make a grocery list. Tomorrow...Costco...

Talkeetna purchase

We bought land about 15 miles SW of Talkeetna, Alaska...on e-bay...sight unseen! in 2006. I probably wouldn't recommend doing that for everyone, but we were blessed it was legal...and now have good neighbors in the north, too. In fact, one of our neighbors built a 250 foot road with a turn-around into our place and we could stay on our land part of the summer. Of course, then there was the flood with the washing out of the only good road leading to Malispina Loop, so had to wait to start back to MT for a few days until that was repaired and we could retrieve our cargo trailer, since we had left it on our land while down on the Kenai.

Welcome to the travels of John and Chrysa

We leave on June 6th so are in the process of thinking about getting ready. Actually, I've had stacks here and there all winter, but don't know if that'll save me time or not. I have washed and waxed the fronts of the camper (slide-in with tip-out) and under the overhead so all the bugs we hit can have a spot now. It was fairly crowded before starting...but I always use 'Black streak remover'~ if you haven't tried it, do...it's awesome! I'm going to give getting pictures on here a whirl in the near future...just hoping it's nearer (didn't have problems) than farther (had problems) away.
